A Working Party has been set up to remove the fencing by the road, it will be replaced thanks to an Appeal. Also the fence by the cricket field will be mended, any residue from the Appeal will be used to purchase a bench.
AWMA sections are to start fund raising for the changes to the Pavilion which is mainly used by Cricket, Hockey, Football, and to a lesser degree, Lacrosse, Tennis and Archery. The six changing rooms plan has been on the notice board since November 2018. This should cost approximately £300k.
Cricket – is content with the pitch but have concerns with the pavilion which needs painting inside and out. Cricket to fund with the help of the other user sections.
Squash – Work on court one has been completed and will be opened with an exhibition match. The section is considering re-carpeting the changing rooms.
Hockey – Fencing and dug-outs now opened.
Tennis- A new internal Coaching programme is to be instigated and the section is positive about the future. The courts have been cleaned.
Archery– Max Oakley has been selected as national ambassador.
Bowls – The new pavilion is now open and member numbers have increased.
Drama – Raised over £5,000 for the Main Hall refurbishment. Excellent and well received commemoration of WW1 and the 100 Year Anniversary. A good season and an increase in Members.
Lacrosse – Lancashire Cup Champions and Runners up in the Yorkshire Shield. Membership numbers are good and they are close to saturation point.

AWMA club quiz was a sell out with thanks going to all those who made the evening a big success.
Membership – The policy has changed on the hire of the main hall. It was free for members but this is now being offered at a reduced price. This is due to the reduced membership fees from the 1st April.
A tree survey has been done – 1 to be felled but awaiting Leeds City Council approval.
The steps leading to the decking have been replaced and a ramp has now been added.
